From the Planner Archives: Exacompta Daily Pocket {2004-2005}

I’ve been using planners long before I bought my first Filofax in 2010. In fact, I know I’ve been using them since long before 2004, however, this is the earliest planner I can find that I still have in my possession. During the move, I found this planner along with a few others and thought it might be fun to share some of my early planner use, along with the planners themselves!
I started using this planner in July 2004, the summer before my senior year of high school. It’s an Exacompta Daily Pocket in a faux leather cover I picked up at Barnes and Noble.
Though it is a daily planner for 2005, it included monthly pages starting in July 2004 that ran through the end of the year. The daily pages started on January 1, 2005. It also included notes pages, holidays, address sheets, a US map, dialing codes for within the US, and annual planners for 2005 and 2006. The only thing it looks like I used was the map, mainly to mark states I’d visited.
I really didn’t even need a daily planner at this point in my life, even though I was in school and working a part time job. Most days only have a work shift or a due date reminder for a paper or exam. But it’s still fun to look back on life then and to see what my priorities were.

Do you keep your old planner pages? Am I the only one who has lost an hour when they stumble across one because they just want to look back in time?

  1. Oh, yes! I have my Franklin planners from 1993 and before that I used week at a glance calendars. I would never part with them. They have so much fun information about the kids and our lives. In fact, for Christmas one year I made a photo album for my daughter-in-law. It had photos of my son along with stories and things he said that I pulled from all those calendars. It was So fun going back through them to find the quotes. I had forgotten a lot of it. Those books are priceless!!!

  2. Ah yes, I remember your post on your archives – so amazing! Hopefully that'll be what mine look like someday!
