As much as I wish I was reporting back with good news on the job and school fronts, we’re still waiting around for answers. And spazzing out every time my phone rings. I’ve never wished for a call so desperately in my life. Fortunately we did hear one bit of good news that will have to tide us over for now: our new place is pretty much ready!
The current tenants only have a few things left to get out of the house, and then the landlords were awesome enough to not only paint the living room before we move in, but we get to pick the paint color! As much as I would prefer to pick a color and paint it myself after living in the space for a few weeks, it will be one less thing we have to worry about. We’re thinking about something pretty basic like a sandy beige, that way we can easily add an accent wall or paint over it if we fall hard for another color. I’ve definitely gone paint swatch happy thinking about all the color options we can put in the new space!
Since we’re planning to stay here for two years, I’ve already got a bajillion ideas to make this little space feel like ours instead of just a temporary place to live. Which hopefully means a bunch of little posts and tutorials on the blog for each project!
I just can’t wait to get down there so I can get a new picture of this house to share with you all – I’m sick of reposting the same old shot!
