Have you ever had one of those days where you make it all the way out of the house before realizing that the anti-theft tag on your new coat was never removed by the store cashier?
Welcome to my Monday.
At least I noticed it before I got in my car and drove to work. Still, I’m a bit irked that I have to drive all the way back over there just to have the darn thing removed.
Anyone else having a case of the Mondays?
One time, my dad and I bought something for my mom at the eddie bauer at the oakbrook mall for Christmas. As I was wrapping the present, I noticed the security tag was still on it. I really didn't want to go all the way back to oakbrook and so I took it to the store downtown naperville to have it removed…and they told me they didn't have the right tool to remove that kind of tag because they were a smaller store and had a different kind of security tag. So frustrating, and stupid. My dad was able to take the tag off in the garage with some tools.
I also had a case of the Mondays…I didn't get home until 1:45 last night so that 6am wake up call was a little rough. You can probably guess how the rest of the day went running on 4 hours of sleep =)
I've had it happen. The worst was when I was when I was with my family and we picked up some early Christmas gifts from an outlet on a trip and got back to the hotel after the mall closed to find the security tag still on. We were leaving the next day, but was luckily able to find some tools to take it off with. Sorry to hear about your monday.
@Whit- Yuck! I thought about trying to remove it at home, but knowing my luck it would be the kind with ink in it or I'd somehow ruin the coat. I got it at the Kohls in Plainfield, so I'm hoping the one here has the same kind of tags… we'll see! Luckily, I also have some Kohls bucks to spend, so the trip won't be in vain 🙂
@Alex- Yikes! I hate those days, even though they are sometimes unavoidable. I hope you were able to catch up on some sleep last night!
@Jamie- Glad to know you were able to remove your tag as well! I'm sure I could manage to get this one off too, but I'm going to play it safe and bring it back in. Let's hope my Tuesday is better!
